Education News staff wins USA scholarship

Education News staff Milkah Gitonga has won a scholarship to study in the United States of America (USA).

The African Nazarene University (ANU) alumna was awarded the scholarship to study Masters in Public Finance in Olivet Nazarene University which is in Bourbonnais, Chicago.

The course will take two and half years and she is expected to travel next week.

Gitonga who is a resident of Kajiado North sub county studied a Bachelors Degree in Finance and Banking and was hired at Education News in the Finance department.

Speaking during her congratulatory party held by the company, Gitonga said studying in a USA university had been her childhood dream.

After finishing her course at ANU, she had a vision of continuing her studies but had financial challenges.

“I had a dream of studying in one of the best universities, I am grateful and I thank God for the blessing,” she said.

She added that she will further her studies later on in the same country and is looking forward to get employed in an international company.
