DG wants police in Kakamega transferred after two guards are murdered

Police visit a school after night guards were accosted by thugs. Two were murdered in Kakamega and county DG has demanded the transfer of police officers attached to a station for possible complicity.

Kakamega County Deputy Governor (DG) Ayub Savula has asked that police officers stationed in Koyonzo and Ogalo in Matungu Constituency be transferred immediately by Inspector General of Police Japheth Koome following the murder two security guards at Koyonzo market.

Addressing members of the public during the funeral service of the two John Nyapola and Humphrey Wesonga yesterday at Mungore Primary School in Matungu, Savula said it is sad that the security guards were murdered in the middle of the night near the police stations.

The DG appealed for all the police officers to be transferred and others deployed who will network with the public to improve security within the area.
