Langata MP Phelix Odiwuor alias Jalang’o hosted Education Cabinet Secretary (CS) Julius Ogamba during the inspection of the new Ngong’ Forest Booth Girls High School on Thursday.
Jalang’o noted that the project aims to provide a modern educational facility capable of accommodating 600 students.
During the visit, Jalang’o and Ogamba inspected the ongoing work and discussed the significance of the school in enhancing educational access for girls in the region.
The new institution will feature state of the art facilities, including science labs, libraries and recreational areas designed to foster a conducive learning environment.
Jalang’o emphasized the importance of such initiatives in addressing the challenges of overcrowded schools and the need for quality education in Nairobi.
He lauded the government’s commitment to improving educational infrastructure, which he said will empower the local community and promote gender equity in education.
CS Ogamba reiterated the government’s dedication to expanding educational opportunities, particularly for girls who often face barriers.
Ogamba highlighted the critical role that modern schools play in equipping students with the skills necessary to succeed in the future.
He added that the school is part of a broader strategy to enhance education standards across the country.
