- KSSSA has named the Coast and Rift Valley regions as hosts of the 2027 National School Games.
- The Coast Region has been confirmed to host the Brookside-sponsored Term One Games, while the Rift Valley will host the KCB-sponsored Term Two Games.

The Kenya Secondary Schools Sports Association (KSSSA) has officially named the Coast and Rift Valley regions as hosts of the 2027 National School Games, giving organisers, sponsors and participating schools nearly a year to prepare for one of the country’s biggest school sporting events.
Under the announcement, the Coast Region will stage the Brookside-sponsored National Term One Games, while the Rift Valley Region will host the KCB-sponsored National Term Two Games.
The early confirmation of host regions gives organisers ample time to prepare venues, accommodation, transport, security and other logistical arrangements required to run championships of this scale, which are expected to attract hundreds of schools and thousands of student-players from all eight KSSSA regions.
The National Term One Games in the Coast Region will feature basketball, hockey, handball, rugby 15s and cross-country.

The Rift Valley Region, on its part, will welcome teams for the National Term Two Games, which will comprise football, volleyball, netball, rugby sevens, basketball 3×3, racquet games, chess, scrabble, lacrosse, cricket, baseball and beach volleyball.
The announcement forms part of KSSSA’s continued practice of rotating hosting rights among regions, a strategy aimed at promoting inclusivity, improving sports infrastructure and enhancing the development of school sports across the country.

For now, attention remains on the 2026 FEASSSA Games in Tanzania, with schools expected to begin planning for the 2027 national championships once that regional competition concludes. Organisers say the early confirmation of host regions will help ensure a competitive and well-organised season of school sports in Kenya.
