Butula Boys High School is in Busia County’s limelight after producing 16 straight As in the 2023 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examinations.
According to data availed to Education News, the academic giant registered a mean score of 9.10 translating to a mean grade of B plain.
With a candidature of 377, the school saw 345 candidates attain direct university entry compared to 299 in 2022.
Senior and Mathematics teacher Ken Olwiki attributed the school’s excellent academic performance to the commitment and discipline shown by the students.
He said that they completed the syllabus in good time which gave the candidates ample time for revision ahead of the exam.
