Bungoma National Polytechnic has announced that its first-ever graduation ceremony will take place on December 5, 2025, marking a historic milestone in the institution’s academic journey. The event will celebrate the achievements of the pioneer cohort of students and set the tone for future graduations.

In an internal memo addressed to potential graduands, the Registrar of Academics, Risper N. Juma, urged all students expecting to graduate to verify their academic status with their respective Heads of Departments by November 14. The verification process will ensure that all students have fulfilled the necessary academic requirements to qualify for graduation.

The memo emphasizes the need for graduands to submit proof of payment of the graduation fee, set at Ksh 3,000, along with a copy of their result slip as evidence of course completion. These documents are required to facilitate accurate preparation of the graduation list and to avoid delays in the issuance of certificates.

“This is an important step in recognizing the achievements of our students and celebrating their dedication and hard work,” the memo states, highlighting the Polytechnic’s commitment to academic excellence and student success.

Dr. Murunga, who has overseen significant growth and development at the institution, described the upcoming ceremony as a “landmark event that will honor our first graduates and showcase the Polytechnic’s commitment to quality education.”

The inaugural graduation is expected to attract students, faculty, parents, and local community leaders, providing an opportunity to celebrate academic achievements while reinforcing the Polytechnic’s vision for higher education in the region. The ceremony will also serve as a platform to recognize the efforts of faculty members who have played a pivotal role in guiding students to this milestone.

Graduands are urged to complete all verification procedures promptly to avoid missing out on what promises to be a memorable and historic occasion. As the Polytechnic continues to expand its programs and infrastructure, the first graduation marks the beginning of a new chapter in Bungoma National Polytechnic’s journey toward excellence.
