Students have been asked to take seriously the sporting activities in a bid to enhance their talents.
Bomet Central Secondary Schools Sports Association chairman Leonard Kerich said that they should pursue their dreams by taking part in sports effectively.
Kerich, who is also Salaik Secondary School Principal said the sports have proved to a well-paying career if properly nurtured at early stages.

Speaking to the Education News, he added that the region has a potential of great talents as witnessed by sportsmen and sportswomen who have hoisted high Kenya’s flag at international stage.
“The sporting activities will go alongside enhancing students’ academic performances,” said Kerich.
He said that not all the students are good in classes and they should be given chance to explore their talents in sports.
“There is need to blend academic and co-curricular activities because both go hand-in-hand,” he remarked.
The chairman called on the schools principals and institutions to ensure that they dedicate their time in ensuring their students participate in co-curricular activities.
The chairman said even though they have been experiencing financial challenges in the sporting activities, lauding the school heads for their tirelessly efforts in ensuring that the sports has been a success.
