Students from Machakos county have been encouraged to focus on their education so as to secure themselves a good future.
Speaking at ACK Mukengesya Secondary School during the commissioning of an administration block by Matungulu MP Stephen Mule, Bishop Joseph Mutungi said many students get pregnant and married off at a young age.
He noted that although some cases are fanned by poor backgrounds, it’s important for the students to be motivated to focus on their studies.
“A girl aged between 16-18 years isn’t ready to be a parent,” he stressed.
He urged students to stop rushing and instead focus on their education since an educated woman is very desirable.
