A teacher dies in a tragic Kisii-Keroka road accident

Nyamira murder

A teacher from Nyankononi Primary School in Nyaribari Masaba Constituency, in Kisii County Verah Ongora, has died in a tragic road accident on the Kisii-Keroka road, involving a bodaboda rider and a matatu.

According to the report from the police, Ongora was rushed to Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital for treatment where she was pronounced dead shortly after her arrival.

Medical Officer James Momanyi explained that her demise resulted from the internal bleeding caused by the head-on collision between the matatu and the speedy bodaboda.

Kisii County police commander, Charles Keses, confirmed the fatal accident and implored all motorists to exercise caution on the roads to prevent the loss of innocent lives.

He issued a directive for the traffic police to take strict action against any drivers or bodaboda operators found flouting traffic regulations, ensuring their appearance in court.
