Residents advised to take their children to vocational centres

Devolution Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa has urged Bungoma County residents to take their children to vocational training centres and Youth Polytechnics in order to avoid idling in the community.
“The Government’s aim is to ensure that our young people acquire the necessary skills to run the various industries in this country”, he said.
He urged all the parents who are not able to pay school fees to apply for bursaries and scholarships in their wards so that they can be able to take their children to school.
“I want to call upon parents to apply for bursaries and take their children to school and vocational training institutions”, said Wamalwa.
The area MP, Didmus Barasa echoed Wamalwa’s sentiments and promised to support the parents to get bursaries and also assist in the paying of school fees for needy but bright students in his constituency.
