The Kenya Union of Post Primary Education Teachers (KUPPET) has announced plans to plant 10 million trees this year in a drive dubbed “Go Green”.
The union announced the plan at Huruma Secondary School in OlKalou. Kuppet official Samuel Chelang’a said climate change must be looked into by all stakeholders including teachers
He said every member is expected to plant at least 10 trees.
Kuppet trustee board chairman Jacob Karura said teachers will ensure the country goes green and educate the community on conservation.
