A Grade Five pupil from Amalo Sub-County, Narok County, is appealing for financial assistance to enable him to continue accessing medical treatment for an illness he has battled for several years.
Amos Kipkorir, a pupil at Kutete Primary School, has reportedly been undergoing treatment since 2016, when he was attending Naccary School.
According to an appeal by youth leader Noah Seur, Amos has been taken to different hospitals over the years but has struggled to access advanced medical care because of the financial challenges facing his family.
Amos has been raised by his grandmother since he was two years old after his mother reportedly left and started another family. His grandmother has since remained his primary caregiver, supporting him through his health challenges while also ensuring he continues with his education.
Financial difficulties disrupt treatment
The family has been making regular hospital visits, including reviews and medication, but financial difficulties have recently forced Amos to stop attending the scheduled medical appointments.
Seur said the boy’s condition is aggravated by exposure to dust and dirty water, making his daily environment an additional challenge.
The family has been advised to return to hospital on October 10 and requires more than Sh20,000 to meet the anticipated medical expenses.
Amos’ grandmother, who has no reliable source of income, is now appealing to well-wishers and members of the community to come to the family’s aid.
Seur urged residents and other well-wishers to support the family so that Amos can resume his medical reviews and continue with his education without further interruption.

The appeal has also been shared with the wider community in the hope of raising the funds needed for the boy’s immediate treatment and subsequent medical care.
