- Bodaboda Collision Leaves One Dead, Several Learners Injured Along Kisii–Kilgoris Road
Grief has engulfed Kisii University following the death of Boaz Monari, a fourth-year Bachelor of Education Science student, who was killed in a road accident on Sunday evening.
Monari, who specialised in Mathematics and Biology, died when the bodaboda he was riding was hit by a lorry along the busy Kisii–Kilgoris highway near Mwembe estate.
The collision also left several of his colleagues injured, with victims rushed to different hospitals in Kisii town, where they are undergoing treatment.

Police have launched investigations into the incident, while Monari’s body has been moved to the morgue awaiting postmortem.
The tragedy has cast a shadow over the university community, which is mourning the loss of a promising student.
More details are expected once the family and university issue an official statement.
