- The MP has emphasised that collaboration would help ensure no learner is disadvantaged due to inadequate laboratories, workshops or other CBC-related facilities.
Matungulu Member of Parliament (MP) Stephen Mule has urged schools across the constituency to embrace cooperation and allow institutions facing shortages of learning facilities to use resources available in better-equipped schools.
Mule said the National Government Constituencies Development Fund (NGCDF) is working to equip schools with the necessary infrastructure and facilities, but the process will take time. He called on school administrations to be patient and supportive of neighbouring institutions so that learners do not miss out on important learning opportunities.
“As NGCDF continues working to equip all our schools, I urge institutions that already have the facilities to allow other schools to use them. We should share what we have as we work towards ensuring every school is adequately equipped,” Mule said.

Mule noted that sharing facilities is particularly important under the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC), which places emphasis on practical and hands-on learning. “Our focus should be on the learner. If a school does not have a laboratory, workshop or other facility required for practical lessons, let us find a way of allowing those learners to access the facilities elsewhere,” he said.
Mule said collaboration among schools would help ensure that no learner is disadvantaged because of inadequate facilities as the constituency works to improve infrastructure across its institutions.
