Kericho teacher reported missing, family appeals for help to trace her

Martina Chepkemoi Ruto, a teacher from Lalagin Secondary School in Litein, Bureti Sub-County, Kericho County, has been reported missing, prompting an appeal to the public to help trace her whereabouts.

According to a missing-person poster circulating publicly, Martina Chepkemoi, a teacher of Kiswahili and History at the school, was last seen at Lalagin Secondary School on Wednesday, August 26, 2026. Her disappearance has raised concern among colleagues, relatives and members of the local community, who are appealing to anyone with information about her whereabouts to come forward.

The poster provides a contact number, 0702 739784, for anyone who may have information that could assist in locating her, with members of the public also encouraged to report any information to the nearest police station.
