- Bomachoge Borabu MP Obadiah Barongo says Sh4 million has been allocated to renovate classrooms at Mosensema Secondary School.
- The MP also pledged an eight-storey classroom block for the school next year if re-elected.
- Barongo praised churches for supporting education and urged young people to respect divergent political views.
Mosensema Secondary School in Bomachoge Borabu Constituency has received Sh4 million through NG-CDF to help renovate classrooms, area MP Obadiah Barongo has said.
Speaking at the Mosensema SDA camp meeting on Saturday, Barongo thanked the people of Boochi Ward for making him lead in all 10 polling centres in the ward during the 2022 national elections. He promised to continue walking with them in development projects.
The MP commended the work of the church in supporting education programmes and shaping the growth of children through disciplined lives anchored on Christian principles of love and resilience.
Barongo further promised to construct an eight-storey classroom block at the school next year if residents return him to the constituency parliamentary seat.
The MP also said he has helped in the construction of Nyamisaro and Igembe primary schools in the area. He asked those blackmailing him in the area to find other excuses and not allege that he has failed to support development.
Barongo said he will be in the constituency every weekend to share more ways forward for the constituency. He urged the youth to be accommodative of those who hold divergent political opinions and to embrace the spirit of democracy.
“Do not be deceived with simple handouts to cause harm to your brothers, but instead learn to respect other people’s views,” he said.
Support for church camp centres
The MP also promised to support all 23 camp centres in the region to enable them to operate successfully.

During his hurried meeting at Mosensema, because he was headed to another camp meeting at Nyabinyi in Magenge Ward, he donated Sh20,000 to the church. The money will help sort out facilitators’ bus fare to their homes, including those who came from his mother’s childhood home to grace the camp prayer meetings.
