The situation has particularly unsettled final-year students, who say they cannot plan for graduation, employment, or further studies without knowing their academic standing. Many fear that the delay could derail their career timelines and affect opportunities beyond campus.
Learners also expressed concern that the postponement will stall the scheduling of supplementary and special examinations for those who may have failed or missed papers. Without results, they argue, they remain in limbo, unable to prepare adequately for the next academic steps.
The concerns come as the university prepares to admit a new cohort of first-year students on August 20. This has sparked questions among the student community about how the institution intends to clear the existing backlog while onboarding new learners.
