- The scholarships target needy, orphaned, disabled, marginalised, or talented students with a minimum grade point of 55%.
- Applicants must submit transcripts, IDs, fee statements, and reference letters, with documents delivered to KU’s Alumni Building.
Kenyatta University [KU] has opened applications for partial undergraduate scholarships to support students for the 2026/2027 academic year, with a submission deadline of Friday, July 31, 2026.
The initiative is designed to support students who have fallen behind with their school fees payments, as it aligns with its mission of expanding higher education. The partial scholarship will cover a portion of tuition fees only. Students who are qualified for the application are those who are enrolled and fully registered by the institution.
According to the institution, the scholarships are specifically targeted to help students who are orphaned, needy or vulnerable, living with disability, from marginalised communities, or demonstrably talented.
“Applications are officially NOW OPEN for Kenyatta University Partial Undergraduate Scholarships for the 2026/2027 Academic Year! This opportunity is open to both new and continuing students. Don’t let financial constraints hold back your academic dreams—apply today,” the institution stated.

To qualify for the application, the applicant should have a minimum Grade Point of 55 per cent and must attach their academic transcripts.
Beyond academic performance, candidates must submit a completed scholarship application form alongside supporting documents including a copy of their national identity card, student ID, an admission letter, certified academic certificates, and an updated fee statement from the university.
Reference letters from recognised authorities such as a religious leader, a chief or sub-chief, the head teacher of a previously attended school, or a sponsor are also required to support each application.
KU has provided links where students who are interested can access the application forms, with different forms for continuing and new students.
Once the application is completed, all physical documents must be delivered in person to the Endowment and Alumni Programmes Directorate office located at the KU Main Campus, Alumni Building, second floor, Room 207.
According to the institution, only the shortlisted candidates will be contacted during the review process.
