Learners at Kivaywa Boys High School in Kakamega County have received critical support following the recent dormitory fire that destroyed property belonging to Form Three students. Lugari Member of Parliament Nabwera Daraja Nabii visited the institution and donated essential items to help affected students resume learning without disruption.
During his visit, the legislator attended a Board of Management meeting before holding discussions with parents and the affected learners. He then presented mattresses, blankets, and full school uniforms to students who lost their belongings in the blaze. Nabwera said the intervention was aimed at ensuring education continues smoothly despite the setback.
The MP urged parents to remain actively engaged in guiding their children, stressing that strong parental involvement is vital in nurturing discipline and responsibility among learners. He also encouraged students to maintain peace, uphold discipline, and stay focused on their academic goals.

At the same time, Nabwera assured the school community that investigations into the fire were ongoing and promised accountability. “The law will take its course, and anyone found culpable will face the full force of the law,” he said.

The support is expected to restore confidence among students and allow them to continue their studies without further disruption.
