Education development projects across Emuhaya Constituency are gaining momentum following fresh investments announced by area MP and KUPPET National Chairman Omboko Milemba during a tour of several schools in West Bunyore Ward.
The legislator visited multiple institutions to launch new projects and inspect ongoing developments aimed at improving learning infrastructure in the constituency.
At the proposed Emmabwi Senior School, Milemba issued Sh1 million toward the construction of the institution’s first classroom, describing the project as long overdue. “This project is long overdue. Our children should not have to travel long distances in search of senior school education,” he said, pledging additional funding for more classrooms and an administration block as construction advances.
The MP also announced that Emmabwi Primary School will benefit from a modern storey classroom block, a development aimed at addressing the school’s rising enrolment numbers.

At Isanda Primary School, Milemba toured refurbished classrooms fitted with terrazzo flooring and modern finishes before releasing Sh800,000 for further renovations. “We are determined to ensure every learner studies in a dignified environment because quality infrastructure supports quality education,” he said.
The tour also took Milemba to Elununi Primary School, an institution he said had undergone significant transformation since 2017. “I found this school with mud-walled classrooms, but together with the community we have steadily transformed it. We will continue investing until every learner has access to quality facilities,” he said, presenting Sh700,000 towards ongoing development and directing that an administration block be included in future works.
Milemba said his development agenda remains anchored on expanding educational opportunities and improving public infrastructure, adding that continued investment in schools is critical to the social and economic transformation of Emuhaya Constituency and the wider Vihiga County.
