A Form Four student at St. Aloysius Gonzaga School died on Thursday morning, July 9, after she was involved in a road accident along the Southern Bypass in Lang’ata Sub-County.
The student was reportedly being ferried to school on a motorcycle when a speeding lorry struck them. She died at the scene, while the motorcycle rider sustained serious injuries and was rushed to hospital for treatment.
The student’s body was taken to the Nairobi Funeral Home, where it awaits a post-mortem examination.

Muguimoine Area Chief George Mukuria said the lorry, which was transporting construction sand to Mombasa Road, veered off the road, broke through a guardrail and crashed into Charles Lwanga School.
Police officers are processing the scene before the wreckage is towed to Lang’ata Police Station for further investigations.
Following the incident, residents called on authorities to install speed bumps along the busy Southern Bypass to curb speeding and enhance road safety.
