The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has appointed a new County Director for Migori following the retirement of the outgoing office holder.
Jean Otwani, who has been serving in the Teacher Professional Management (TPM) Directorate at the TSC headquarters, has been deployed to head the commission’s Migori County office.
She succeeds Florence Momanyi, who recently retired from the service.
Education News has established that the official handing-over and taking-over ceremony was conducted last Thursday.
Changes in other counties
The leadership changes have also affected several other counties.
Truphosa Korir, who previously served as TSC Deputy Director for Homa Bay County, has been transferred to Elgeyo Marakwet County.
She will serve as both Deputy Director and Acting County Director pending the appointment of a substantive director by the commission.
Korir replaces Dr. John Aleke, who has been transferred to Nandi County in a similar capacity.
Dr. Aleke will also serve as Acting County Director as he awaits the appointment of a substantive office holder.

The transfers form part of the TSC’s ongoing administrative realignments aimed at strengthening leadership and service delivery across county offices.
