KSSSA unveils dates, venues for 2026 Term Two regional championships

  • KSSSA has officially announced the dates and venues for the 2026 Term Two Regional Championships, setting the stage for intense competition as schools battle for places at the national games.
  • According to the schedule released by the association, the championships will be held across the country’s eight regions throughout July, bringing together top-performing schools from county competitions.

The Kenya Secondary Schools Sports Association (KSSSA) has officially announced the dates and venues for the 2026 Term Two Regional Championships, setting the stage for intense competition as schools battle for places at the national games.

According to the schedule released by the association, the championships will be held across the country’s eight regions throughout July, bringing together top-performing schools from county competitions.

The Rift Valley Region will kick off the championships at Narok High School from July 6 to July 11. Western Region teams will compete at Bungoma High School, while Nyanza Region matches will be staged at Homabay High School, with both championships running from July 7 to July 11. Nairobi Region schools will also face off at Jamhuri High School during the same period.

The Coast Region championships will be hosted at Kwale High School from July 8 to July 11, alongside the Eastern Region games at Makueni High School. The Central Region championships will take place at M-Pesa Academy from July 9 to July 11.

Meanwhile, the North Eastern Region championships have been scheduled for July 20 to July 22 at Tabata in Mandera.

The regional championships will feature various disciplines, including football, volleyball, basketball, rugby, hockey, handball, athletics, and racquet games. Winners and top-performing teams will secure qualification to the KSSSA National Term Two Games.

Schools across the country have intensified preparations ahead of the championships, with expectations high for competitive contests as student-athletes seek regional glory and national qualification.
