Laikipia University has announced vacancies for contractual and permanent positions across 14 disciplines, targeting professionals in academia, technology, procurement and transport services.
In a notice published on the university’s website on May 19, 2026, the institution invited qualified candidates to apply for several positions, including drivers, lecturers and technology specialists.
Among the advertised vacancies are two fleet drivers on a two-year contract, with applicants required to have mechanical experience. The university is also seeking two ICT officers to serve in systems development and networking on a two-year contract.
Other openings include a senior procurement officer on a five-year contract, an educational technology specialist on a three-year contract, and a GIS technology specialist.

The university has further advertised six lecturer positions in the fields of sociology, agriculture, economics, history, religion, engineering and horticulture. The teaching positions will be offered on both permanent and pensionable terms as well as contractual arrangements.
Interested applicants have been directed to submit their applications through the university recruitment email, recruitment@laikipia.ac.ke, and physically address them to P.O. Box 1100–20300, Nyahururu.
According to the notice, successful candidates will be required to obtain clearance certificates from the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA), the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC), the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), and the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB).
Applicants will also be expected to present a Credit Reference Bureau (CRB) report and secure certification from the Commission for University Education (CUE) for any foreign academic qualifications.
The application deadline is Tuesday, May 19, 2026.
