Bomet Central Member of Parliament (MP) Richard Kilel has praised the progress made in the establishment of Bomet High School, revealing that the institution is expected to be officially commissioned by the Head of State in August this year.
Speaking during a public meeting held at Chebitet B Comprehensive School, Kilel described the school as a major boost to education standards in the region.
“The school is a major enhancement to education and is among the key education projects supported by President William Ruto in the South Rift region.” He said
The MP revealed that the President had injected Ksh50 million towards the construction and development of the school to help improve learning infrastructure and expand access to quality education for students from Bomet county and neighbouring areas.

The law maker added that, during the launch, President Ruto is also expected to donate a school bus to support students in academic and co-curricular activities.
Kilel noted that the establishment of the school will help address the growing demand for quality secondary education in the region while reducing pressure on existing schools.
He urged parents and local residents to support the institution, saying it will play a significant role in nurturing future leaders and improving academic performance in the county.
The legislator further termed the school as a symbol of the government’s commitment to strengthening the education sector and empowering young people through learning opportunities.
