Kenya National Qualifications Authority (KNQA) is set to hold the 1st National Qualifications Conference 2026 in Nairobi, bringing together stakeholders in education, training, industry, government and development sectors to deliberate on qualifications, skills recognition and workforce development in Kenya.
According to the conference brief, the event aims to foster dialogue on strengthening the national qualifications framework, enhancing quality assurance, promoting lifelong learning and aligning education and training outcomes with labour market demands and global standards.

The conference will feature keynote addresses, panel discussions, technical sessions, exhibitions and networking opportunities involving policymakers, industry leaders, academic experts and international partners.

The event is expected to be officially opened by the Chief of Staff and Head of Public Service, Felix Koskei, alongside Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Ogamba.
The conference will be held from May 12 to May 14, 2026, at Ole Sereni Hotel.
KNQA noted that the discussions will contribute to informing the public and amplifying conversations around the critical role of qualifications in national development and economic transformation.
