During his tenure at Homabay National School, he also served as the Kenya Secondary School Heads Association (KESSHA) sub-county chairman, where he played a key role in strengthening leadership coordination and professional growth among school administrators in the region.

While some may view the transfer differently, it is widely seen as a strategic move that allows him to return home and apply his vast experience to strengthen Sirembe Mixed Day Secondary School and uplift academic standards.

Mayienga leaves behind a strong legacy of disciplined leadership, mentorship, and academic transformation, having positively influenced learners and educators throughout his career in the education sector.
