“First, I extend heartfelt appreciation to all teachers who represented Bomet Branch at the just concluded National Teachers’ Tournament in Malindi. Your discipline, talent, and team spirit made us proud,” she said.

While appreciating the effort, Chepngetich acknowledged areas that require improvement in future engagements.

Looking ahead, the gender office announced plans to roll out sub-county competitions aimed at broadening participation and improving team selection ahead of future national tournaments.
The initiative is expected to give more teachers a platform to showcase their talents while ensuring stronger and more competitive branch teams.
Chepngetich further urged teachers who are not active players to support their colleagues by attending matches as fans, saying their presence boosts morale and strengthens solidarity within the teaching fraternity.
“To those not on the pitch, join the teams as fans! Your presence lifts morale, builds community, and shows that teachers stand together on and off the field,” she said.
She called on for unity and increased participation in KUPPET sporting activities, noting that continuous improvement and collaboration will strengthen the branch.
“Together, we grow stronger. Solidarity always,” she affirmed.
