Fashion design students at Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions across Kenya now have a new pathway to hands-on training and employment, following a partnership between the government and a leading local fashion company.

The State Department for Technical, Vocational Education and Training has teamed up with Full Care Ltd, a fashion company based in Tatu City, Ruiru, to offer industrial attachment placements and job opportunities to TVET graduates.

The partnership was announced through a circular signed by Principal Secretary (PS) Dr. Esther Muoria on April 7, and addressed to principals of National Polytechnics, Technical Training Institutions (TTIs), the Institute of Advanced Technology (IAT), and Technical Vocational Colleges (TVCs).

Under the arrangement, Full Care Ltd will provide students with practical training in fashion design and production. Graduates who perform well stand a chance of being absorbed into employment, as the company currently employs over 800 TVET graduates.

Principals have been asked to identify Fashion Design students interested in the opportunity and compile a list of eligible trainees for the May–July 2026 industrial training period.

The list, including full names, course details and contact information, should be submitted to Ms. Mary Koigi via email at marykoigi@education.go.ke no later than April 20, 2026.

The department said the move is part of a broader effort to align technical training with real industry needs, improve students’ employability and create more job opportunities for young Kenyans.
