Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Ogamba, has directed a comprehensive investigation into the authenticity of degrees issued by Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST).
This follows online allegations suggesting that degrees may have been awarded to individuals who were not enrolled at the institution.
In a statement released on Wednesday, Ogamba instructed the Commission for University Education (CUE) to thoroughly verify whether all graduands listed in recent ceremonies were legitimate students and if they met the necessary requirements for the qualifications conferred upon them.
