Shock as Nyamira teacher found dead in his house, investigations underway

Shock and sombre mood on Saturday struck the Nyabara-Ibere village in Nyamira County after a 23-year-old teacher was found dead in his house.

The teacher identified as Cliff Nyaundi Michieka, was a newly employed teacher at Nyakoria Comprehensive School in Nyamira County.

The police have so far launched the investigation on the cause of his death, urging the locals to remain calm

The deceased’s uncle, Samson Michieka, is appealing for help with funeral expenses, stating that Cliff was an orphan and had just started his teaching job.

The death of teacher Cliff joins the list of rampant deaths of teachers in Nyamira County, with cases including murder, suicide, assault, and suspicious circumstances.

Nyamira South Deputy County Commissioner Florence Onunga expressed her condolences to the bereaved family, stating that they are sorry to lose a reliable family member at a time they needed him most.

She asked the police to leave no stone unturned in the investigation and inform the residents about the findings soon.
