The Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) has moved to reassure prospective students and their families that the ongoing March intake is fully secure, with all admissions handled strictly through authorised channels.
The institution emphasized that no individual can influence placement or services in exchange for money, warning against fraud and misinformation that often spike during admission periods.
Successful applicants are expected to report to their respective campuses at the end of the month. KMTC currently operates 92 campuses and five satellite centres nationwide, making it one of the largest medical training institutions in the region.
The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) opened the application portal for 31 KMTC courses on March 5, closing it on March 13. The intake was open to 2025 KCSE candidates, previous cohorts, and applicants who missed out during the January window.

Diploma courses span Clinical Medicine and Surgery, Community Health, Dental Technology, Health Counselling, Medical Laboratory Sciences, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Radiography and Imaging, Speech and Language Therapy, and Orthopaedic and Trauma Medicine.
In a statement, KMTC stressed that accountability and professionalism remain central to its admissions process. “The college provides a system rooted in accountability, professionalism and student welfare, ensuring students are in a safe and supportive learning environment. Constant vigilance remains essential because this period often attracts scammers who exploit misinformation and urgency,” the institution noted.
On arrival, incoming students will undergo document verification, fee payment, and registration. KMTC assured that dedicated staff across campuses are ready to guide learners through the reporting process, ensuring a smooth transition into training.
Chief Executive Officer Kelly Oluoch highlighted the quality of KMTC’s programmes, noting that the institution is equipped with modern skills laboratories, experienced trainers, and hands-on clinical exposure in real health facilities. “At KMTC, we are shaping the future of healthcare by equipping our graduates with the skills, values and professionalism needed to serve with excellence both locally and globally,” he said.
