Stakeholders have been invited to a public participation forum to deliberate on a proposal to transfer infrastructure belonging to Moi Girls’ High School Vokoli to Kaimosi Friends University.

In a notice dated March 6, 2026, the school administration called on parents, community members and other education stakeholders to attend the meeting and share their views on the proposed handover.

According to the notice issued by the institution’s Board of Management, the consultative meeting will take place on Friday, March 27, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at the proposed university grounds within the school compound.

The school management said the forum is aimed at giving members of the public an opportunity to present their views, concerns and suggestions regarding the proposed transfer of the school’s infrastructure to the university.

“The objective of this meeting is to gather views, concerns and suggestions from the community regarding the proposed transfer,” the notice states.

The planned move is expected to have far-reaching implications for the future of the institution and the surrounding community, prompting the administration to seek public input before any final decision is reached.

Education stakeholders note that public participation plays a critical role in ensuring transparency and accountability when major decisions affecting public learning institutions are being considered.

The meeting is expected to bring together parents, community leaders and education stakeholders who will have an opportunity to seek clarity on the proposed arrangement between Moi Girls’ High School Vokoli and Kaimosi Friends University.

The notice was signed by the school’s Chief Principal and Board of Management Secretary, Helen Mabese Luhangala, who encouraged stakeholders to attend the meeting and actively participate in the discussions.

School administrators expressed optimism that the forum will provide a platform for constructive engagement and guide an informed decision regarding the future of the school’s infrastructure.
