Siwot secondary dominate Bomet Zonal Handball Games as St Benedict Kapkimolwa, Mulot Boys shine in basketball

Bomet County handball champions Siwot Secondary School made a strong statement at the Longisa zonal secondary schools term one games after recording impressive victories at the Longisa Grounds in Bomet East Sub-county.

Siwot began their campaign on a high note, defeating their arch-rivals, Mogoma Secondary School, 15–9 in a thrilling opening match.

They maintained their fine form in the second fixture, overpowering Longisa Mixed Secondary School 26–15 to cement their dominance in the boys’ handball competition.

In another boys’ handball encounter, Kapsimbiri Secondary School secured a 14–8 win over Kongotik Day Secondary School.

In the girls’ handball category, Siwot Secondary School also posted a victory, beating Longisa Mixed 5–2 in a closely contested match.

Meanwhile, at the Mulot Zonal Games held at Mulot Grounds, St Benedict Kapkimolwa Secondary School and Mulot Boys High School emerged unopposed in the basketball competition.

The two teams are now set to face other challengers during the Bomet East Sub-county games scheduled for next week at Mulot Grounds.

St Benedict Kapkimolwa head coach Tobias Kemboi expressed confidence in his team’s preparedness ahead of the next stage of the competition, stating that they are ready to face any opponent. The zonal games continue to showcase growing talent and competitive spirit among secondary schools in Bomet County as teams battle for qualification to the sub-county level.
