Kaiti Constituency Member of Parliament (MP)Joshua Kimilu has called upon principals to be patient with parents in settling school fees saying students should not be sent home frequently.
Speaking at Kaumoni area during a burial, Kimilu noted that parents are coming from Christmas and considering the hard economy, it will be unfair to send them their children to collect fee at home.
He noted that he has already issued Ksh30 Million bursary to University and College students and now they are embarking on secondary schools where he will issue another Ksh 40 million since the number of those in secondary is high.

“From February 2, we will start the application, my legacy in Kaiti constituency will be education as I am more focused in making sure that the children in the area are empowered in future,” Kimilu said
Makueni Senator Daniel Maanzo who was at the same event, called upon the government to release capitation money in total saying that principals are suffering to run the schools.
“All the children of Kenya should have equal opportunity since education is an equalizer. Capitation should be a priority and the government has failed by releasing capitation in bits while the children are suffering,” Maanzo said
