Gatundu South Technical and Vocational College (TVC) is mourning the death of its Deputy Principal, Patrick Ngigi Kiratu, who passed away on January 14, 2026.
Announcing the loss, the institution described Kiratu as a committed administrator whose leadership played a key role in strengthening academic management and service delivery at the college.
At the time of his death, he was serving as Deputy Principal at Gatundu South TVC, having previously held senior administrative roles within the TVET sector.
College management said Kiratu was instrumental in advancing institutional growth, mentoring staff, and supporting the implementation of government TVET reforms aimed at expanding access to technical and vocational training.

His passing has been described as a major loss to the college community and the wider TVET fraternity. The Ministry of Education and colleagues across technical institutions have joined Gatundu South TVC in paying tribute to his dedication to skills development and public service.
Burial arrangements are being coordinated by the family, with interment scheduled for January 22, 2026, in Kiambu County.
Gatundu South TVC is also expected to hold a candle lighting on Thursday, January 22, 2026 to honour his service and legacy in technical education.
