Moi Girls Isinya has emerged as one of the top schools in Kajiado County following the release of the 2025 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) results.
The school posted an impressive mean score of 8.51, marking a notable improvement from 2024 KCSE , 8.34.
According to Principal Alice Sayo, Moi Girls Isinya registered remarkable individual performances, including 1 student who earned a grade of A, 26 students scored A-, and 288 out of 316 students achieving university-entry C+ grades
This represents a 91.1% improvement from 2024, when it had 265 students ,translating to 87.7%.
In addition, St. Augustine Oloitoktok Boys High School, another prominent institution in the county, recorded a strong performance with a mean score of 7.48. The school produced 9 students with A- grades, and 204 candidates secured university entry, representing 74% of the cohort.

The overall performance of Kenyan candidates in the 2025 KCSE exams was also notable. A total of 270,715 students achieved C+ and above, qualifying for direct entry into universities out of the 993,226 students who sat the exams.
This represents an increase in the number of candidates meeting university entry requirements compared to 2024, when 246,391 students qualified.
The top grades also saw a rise, with 1,932 students earning As, up from 1,693 in the 2024 exams. Among the A-graded students, 1,332 were male and 600 were female, illustrating the continued progress in gender participation in higher education.
The improvement in performance reflects a broader trend of increased qualification for university entry across the nation in the 2025 KCSE results.
