The Kenya National Union of Teachers (KNUT), Kajiado Branch Executive Secretary Elly Solonka Korinko is among four individuals shortlisted to serve as members of the selection panel that will oversee the recruitment of key county officials.
The nominees, selected by Governor Joseph ole Lenku, will be responsible for guiding the process of appointing the County Secretary, members of the County Public Service Board, and the Secretary to the Board.
Others shortlisted for membership in the selection panel include Korir Kibet, Daniel Muathe, and Dr. Alice Lakati.
Meanwhile, Dr. Naomy Kipury has been nominated for the position of Chairperson of the panel.

The nominees are scheduled to appear before the County Assembly on December 15, 2025 for approval hearings.
They have been instructed to collect vetting questionnaires from the Office of the Clerk of the Assembly and return the completed forms by December 11, 2025.
The County Assembly has also invited members of the public to attend the approval hearings and to submit any information or comments regarding the suitability of any of the nominees for the respective positions.
