Kabarak soccer academy to train young talent as stage set for International football partnership

The Kabarak Soccer Academy in Nakuru County is set to become a hub of youth football talent after hosting two high-profile figures from Spain as part of a new international partnership.

According to academy officials, the visit marks a turning point for the Kabarak Soccer Academy, which aims to nurture young players and provide pathways to professional football both locally and abroad.

“This collaboration will create opportunities for our players to access world-class coaching, scouting, and tournaments,” said a senior academy representative.

Coach Merc Miguel and Manager Xabi Perez of Xpa Eventos, a Spain-based sports management and events company, visited the academy last week to explore collaboration in talent development, training, and exchange programs.

During their stay, the Spanish duo toured the training facilities, interacted with budding footballers, and held strategic meetings with academy staff. The discussions focused on technical training methods, youth mentorship, and exposure to European football standards.

Xpa Eventos, known for its extensive network in European football circles, organizes tournaments, player exchanges, and scouting programs. The firm’s interest in Kenya underscores the growing appeal of East African football talent.

Observers say the partnership could transform the local football scene by elevating training quality and increasing chances for Kenyan players to feature in competitive leagues abroad.

Officials noted that the link-up with Xpa Eventos will also include workshops for coaches, talent identification programs, and opportunities for players to attend football camps in Spain.

“This is more than a partnership – it’s a platform for our young people to dream bigger and work harder. On Earth We Rise,” the academy stated in a social media post.

The Kabarak Soccer Academy, established by Moi Primary and Junior School, Kabarak, was to identify and develop promising footballers has been steadily upgrading its infrastructure and coaching standards.

With the groundwork laid, Kabarak Soccer Academy is positioning itself as a key player in the region’s sports development landscape, hoping to inspire the next generation of football stars.
