A 22-year-old man was yesterday arrested and held at the Kapletundo police station, Sotik sub-county for cohabiting with 17-year old school girl in Bomet County.
According to the police record, Brian Koech was found having held hostage a 17-year-old school girl in his house for 2 days.
His arrest follows a tip off from the members of the public, which prompted police to raid his home at Kapkoitim village and found the suspect, in a compromising situation with the girl.

When interrogated by the police the 17-year-old girl, a student at Kamungei Mixed boarding within Sotik area said she had been sent home on Monday to collect school fees but instead headed direct to her boyfriend’s home.
Police conducted a search and found school uniform neatly hidden under the bed where they were both escorted to the police station to be arraigned before a Sotik court after undergoing medical examination at the Kapkatet hospital.
