Kenya has emerged overall winners of the 22nd Federation of East Africa Secondary Schools Sports Association (FEASSA) Games, which ended in Kakamega on Saturday, after a week of high-octane competition featuring schools from across the region.
The hosts dominated several disciplines, with Kwanthanze Girls and Cheptil High School Boys continuing their stranglehold on volleyball. In rugby, St. Peter’s captured the boys’ 7s crown while Kisii High School stormed to the 15s title. Moi Girls Kamusinga and Kimilili Boys High ensured a Kenyan sweep in handball, while Ng’iya Girls impressed in the fast-paced basketball 3×3.
Uganda, however, proved just as formidable. St. Noa Girls shone brightly, clinching both the girls’ soccer and basketball 5×5 trophies. Their compatriots Bukedea Comprehensive lifted the boys’ soccer crown, while Jinja SS reigned supreme in girls’ rugby 7s. Netball powerhouses St. Mary’s Kitende also extended their dominance, while Kakungulu Memorial captured the boys’ hockey title.
