Kivaywa High School in Matete Sub-county, Kakamega County, has rolled out a three-day talent search to identify and nurture promising athletes.
The programme, which runs from August 22 to 24, is open to students in Grade 9, Form Two, and Form Three. Competitions will take place daily from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., featuring basketball, volleyball, handball, soccer, rugby, hockey, and racket games.
Principal Enos Lichuma said the exercise is part of the school’s commitment to balancing academics with sports.
“Education is not confined to the classroom. Through sports, we build discipline and resilience while creating opportunities for our learners,” he noted.
