Senior Principal Protus Ndombi has officially assumed duty as the new head of Chesamisi High School.
The handover ceremony took place on Monday, August 18, 2025 witnessed by the Board of Management and officials from the Ministry of Education.
Mr. Ndombi takes over from Chief Principal Christopher Serem, who has been transferred to Tambach High School.
In his remarks after the handover, Mr. Ndombi thanked the Ministry of Education and the school community for the trust placed in him, pledging to build on the institution’s successes.

“I am honoured to take up this responsibility, and I look forward to working closely with teachers, students, parents, and the Board to ensure Chesamisi continues to excel in academics, discipline, and co-curricular activities,” he said.
He further emphasised teamwork and student welfare, noting that his priority will be to create a conducive learning environment that nurtures excellence and character.
During the ceremony, the Board of Management assured the new principal of its full support in steering the institution forward. Ministry officials also commended the outgoing principal for his service and urged the new administration to uphold Chesamisi’s strong academic record.
Chesamisi High School is one of the leading boys’ schools in Bungoma County and is expected to maintain its academic and disciplinary standards under the new leadership.
