Interior and National Administration Cabinet Secretary, (CS) Kipchumba Murkomen has warned chiefs that arbitration of defilement and Gender Based Violence (GBV) cases will not be allowed.
Speaking during the official opening of modern dormitory at the Kitondo Boys Secondary School, Murkomen reminded the chiefs that if caught they will face the law.
“All such cases must end in court for the law to take its cause. We cannot allow sexual offences from any side. We must take all legal actions to protect our children against their perpetrators,” CS said.
He called upon parents especially mothers who hide cases of their daughters when defiled by their fathers adding that there is nothing to hide since that seizes to be a father but an animal and should face the law.
Murkomen also warned that crackdown on illicit brew will continue urging the public to take the legalized and licensed brew only to avoid problems with the law.

“This issue of overcrowding bars in one centers in that they outdo the shops, we will not accept and no operating bars near schools,” Murkomen warned.
On teachers employment, he noted that the current regime promised to employ 116,000 teaches and as at now 100,000 teachers have been employed.
“I am sure in five years we will have employed the 116000 and beyond. We want the best for our learners,” CS stated.
He also lauded the new university funding model programme, saying that it has uplift the needy students to access education.
“The needy are taken care of more than the able one. We want to get sustainable education in higher education,” he added.
He called upon all form four leavers to join technical institutions if they don’t make it to university adding that the country and the world needs the skills.
