Teremi Boys High School received a major boost this week as its alumni, under the Teremi High Old Boys Alumni Association (THOBAA), returned to their former school to launch a mentorship program aimed at nurturing current students and restoring the institution’s legacy of excellence.

The initiative, unveiled during an alumni visit to the school, seeks to provide structured mentorship, academic support, career guidance, and social encouragement to students, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds.

The program will run throughout the academic year and includes regular engagement between former students and the current student body.

“This is where our stories began, our destinies were shaped, our connection with God was sparked, and our passion for excellence was born,” said Eric Nakhurenya, a distinguished alumnus and High Court Advocate, during the launch. “We are here not just to visit, but to walk alongside these boys as they carve out their future.”

The alumni commended Chief Principal Wakwabubi for his steadfast leadership, describing him as “a man of visible focus,” and urged the teaching staff to continue championing academic and co-curricular excellence. They also reaffirmed their commitment to supporting the school through mentorship, fundraising, and infrastructure development.

The event also celebrated the achievements of the school’s football team, the “Samba Boys,” who are the reigning county champions. The team’s success was hailed as a symbol of Teremi’s enduring spirit and potential.

“To many of us, Teremi is more than a school—it is a second home,” said another alumnus. “We will continue to return, to encourage, and to uplift those in need.”

With the mentorship program now in place and a strong alumni network rallying behind it, Teremi Boys High School is set for a renewed era of growth, excellence, and transformation.
