Agai Mixed Secondary School has received new tracksuits and jerseys from Deputy Chief of Staff Eliud Owalo in preparation for the Kenya Secondary Schools Sports Association (KSSSA) national championship.
The donation was delivered through the Eliud Owalo Foundation as part of his ongoing support for grassroots sports.
Agai High School, based in Kisumu County, recently earned their first ever qualification to the KSSSA Term Two national games after winning the Nyanza Region boys’ football title. Their unexpected victory over seasoned teams has made them a team to watch as they prepare to represent the region at the national competition in Kakamega County.
The donation of playing kits and tracksuits is seen as a timely morale boost for the players, many of whom lacked proper sports gear. Owalo’s gesture reflects his foundation’s commitment to nurturing talent and supporting schools that often face challenges in accessing quality sports equipment.

In recent months, the Eliud Owalo Foundation has extended similar support to local football clubs, including Kisumu All Stars and Kakamega Homeboyz, by providing training kits and equipment. The foundation’s involvement is helping level the playing field for young athletes and teams with limited resources.
As Agai High School prepares for their national debut, the support they have received is expected to inspire them to compete with confidence. The KSSSA national games will offer the team a platform to showcase their talent and resilience against top schools from across the country.
