West Pokot Governor Simon Kachapin visited families in Bendera, Kapenguria Ward, who lost their children in an alarming and tragic incident involving suspected criminals now in custody.

“This is heartbreaking and unacceptable, and as a county, we cannot allow such acts to continue.”

“I am working closely with the security team to ensure this never happens again. We are taking decisive steps to strengthen community safety and prevent such tragedies in the future,” he explained.

“I urge all residents to be on the lookout and report any suspicious individuals or behaviour, as protecting our children is a responsibility we all share,” Kachapin stated.

“My heartfelt condolences to the affected families. All of us share your pain, and we stand with you during this difficult time,” he said.
