Nyeri Central Sub-county has shown strong support for its young athletes ahead of the much-anticipated Nyeri County Primary Schools Sports Competition.
In a spirited gesture, the area Member of Parliament, Duncan Maina, provided full tracksuit kits for the entire sub-county team. The competition is set to take place at Kagumo High School this Friday and Saturday.
The MP’s generous sponsorship aims to boost the morale and unity of the budding athletes, ensuring they represent their schools with pride, style and comfort. His support highlights a strong commitment to nurturing young talent and promoting co-curricular excellence across the region.

Speaking during the handover, a representative of Maina expressed confidence in the teams and encouraged them to give their best and make Nyeri Central proud.
“We are proud of our junior stars. Go out there, give it your all, and bring the trophies home,” the representative said.
The atmosphere is electric as anticipation builds across the sub county. All eyes are now on Kagumo High School, where young athletes will compete for top honors and a chance to shine on the county’s sporting stage.
