The Higher Education Loans Board (HELB) has officially opened applications for both first-time and subsequent Undergraduate and TVET Loans and Scholarships for the 2025/2026 academic year.
This program aims to offer essential financial aid to students engaged in higher education and vocational training, with the goal of enabling them to secure their future.
First-time applicants are directed to submit their applications exclusively through the HEF portal, accessible at https://portal.hef.co.ke. This online platform streamlines the initial application process for new beneficiaries.

HELB has set a firm deadline of August 31, 2025, for all applications. Students are strongly encouraged to submit their applications well in advance to avoid last-minute rushes and ensure they secure the necessary funding for their studies.
