Following the incident, Keroka police issued a stern warning to drivers to be cautious of careless driving, especially during the rainy season in the area, when roads are slippery, to prevent further accidents.

“Reckless driving is the main cause of deaths on our roads.  I call upon the motorist to adhere to the rules of safe driving to avoid this vice,” said the police officer.

The police blamed regular accidents on driving under the influence of alcohol, overspeeding and carrying excess passengers as some of the remedies to road carnage.
